At SAILS & CANVAS we pride ourselves that you will talk to the person who is going to make your sails. In a world of ever larger companies we feel it is refreshing for our customers to be able to do this, rather than have to speak with someone who probably will have little or no actual input to yacht sailmaking.

We work on a yachtsman to boat sailmakers basis to create top quality cruising and cruiser/racing sails for all types of boat up to 45 feet (15m) overall. Our boat sailmakers use only the best materials available for each job. Because we are a small company, our prices represent excellent value for money. Not necessarily the cheapest, but crafted to give you beautiful and durable sails.

Chris Scanes is one of our most experienced boat sailmakers and has worked 35 years in yacht sailmaking. He loves the creative job of being a part of his team of boat sailmakers, producing sails that you will take pleasure in using. Whilst much of the design work is computer based, his long practical experience has a major input into yacht sailmaking.
