National Maritime Museum Cornwall…welcome on board!

We are so pleased to add the National Maritime Museum Cornwall to our stockist’s list. Their beautifully curated shop on the ground floor of the museum is filled with nautically inspried gifts and our recycled sailcloth and marine canvas items look totally at home!
The museum has been open since 2003 and is built on land that was once covered in the sheds of boat builders. These sheds inspired the iconic design of the building, clad in green oak.
With 15 galleries over 5 floors, housing exhibits which explore the overwhelming influence of the sea on local, national and global history and culture.
Perched on Discovery Quay, the NMMC overlooks Falmouth harbour – the third largest natural deep water harbour in the world- and the gateway to the beautiful Fal River which runs through an Area Of Natural Beauty.
Falmouth’s maritime legacy and coastal culture is a huge part of its charm boasting world class watersports on its sheltered waters including gig rowing, kayaking, diving and regularly hosting sailing events such as Falmouth Regatta, and the Pendennis Cup.
