January is the month for quiet reflection so we have been taking time to look back at last year, recognising the achievements and highlights of 2022. So let’s take a moment…

January 2022

RNLI added 2 new products from our range to their shop – Dog Toy Storage Bucket branded with “RNLI Since 1824” and our own Anchor Design Storage Buckets…the rest of the product range we make for this amazing lifesaving charity include Sails & Canvas Recycling Buckets and “RNLI Since 1824” branded Carry Bags and Canvas Wash Bags…all made from recycled sails and all available online at RNLI Shop.

February 2022

One of our quarterly trips to SKB Sails in Falmouth – we are a founder partner with Resail by the Clean Sailors charity – SKB provide a drop off point for Cornish sailors wanting to recycle their old sails…and it’s always good to make that road trip west to pick them up – a win-win situation! JUNE 2022

Our first amazing photoshoot with Chloe Upton Studio – despite the typical summer’s day weather with a mix of sunshine, showers and moody skies, the natural seaside light at Exmouth Beach allowed Chloe to work her magic with the lovely Gabrielle…we have enjoyed sharing these photos with you over the last few months and along with a subsequent product photoshoot later in the summer, we have updated the website and given it a bright new feel.

September 2022

The two-day “We Can Do More” sustainability event returned to Princesshay Square, Exeter on Thursday 22nd and Friday 23rd September for its 2nd year – it was a great an opportunity for us to showcase our environmentally conscious products in the centre of the city and talk to visitors about our recycled sail company…The event aims to encourage and inspire everyone to make small, sustainable changes, to make a positive difference to the future of our planet! We Can Do More – together!​

OCTOBER 2022 – New Logo

After 7 years of recycling sails, we felt the time was right for a re-brand…enter Sand Dog Designs with their brilliant logo ideas, cleverly intertwining S&C with a nautical anchor theme.  Along with our strapline – The Recycled Sail Company – the new logo really does the job!  Ship shape & ready to save more sails from landfill. New flyers and product swing tags too – reinforcing our eco circle mantra…Sailed Saved Sewn

DECEMBER 2022

It’s time for the Magdalen Road Christmas Fair! We love coming to this event – Singing, mulled wine, great food and lots of artisan craft stalls create a jolly atmosphere…such a warm and welcoming community event which never fails to put us in a festive mood!
