We Can Do More – Sustainability event 2024

On Friday 20th September Sails and Canvas joined Princesshay Exeter to support the shopping centre’s annual ‘We Can Do More’ sustainability event.

Every September, Princesshay teams up with a number of valued city partners and organisations to showcase, engage and inform visitors of the many environmentally conscious services and projects on offer across Exeter.

At lunchtime, students from Exeter College Art & Design faculty hit the catwalk with their sustainable fashion show. The Exeter Sustainabitly Awards were launched and pop-up market stalls introduced shoppers to their brands…featuring Curious Crumbs vegan bakes, Sassy Upcycling eco jewellery, Sails and Canvas recycled sailcloth bags and accessories, Origin Africa ethical clothing and Princesshay Honey harvested this year from the rooftop hives in centre with all proceeds going to Exeter Leukaemia Fund.

The event is an opportunity to encourage and inspire everyone to make small, sustainable changes, to make a positive difference to the future of our planet! We Can Do More – together!
